Our History

Myconian K Hotels was the first accomplishment and a dream come true for Mr. George P. Daktylides. With his first superior 3-star hotel close to Mykonos town called Kohili in 1979,the Myconian Collection Hotels & Resorts was founded. A year later another 3-star hotel Korali, located right next to Kohili, was added to the Myconian K Hotels.

Two more 3 star hotels came to complete the Myconian K Hotels in 1984, Kyma and Kalypso. An avant-garde project for that time, Myconian K Hotels with a total of 160 rooms were the only resort offering original Myconian hospitality combined with authentic Mediterranean cuisine and bespoke services.

At the same time Mr. George P. Daktylides’s four sons educated in the finest Hotel Management School in Switzerland, EcoleDesRoches (belonging to the Swiss Hotel Association) showed a great interest in the hospitality industry. By 2002, 3 more 5-star luxury Hotels, Myconian Ambassador Hotel, Royal Myconian Hotel and Imperial Myconian Hotel came into reality and satisfied the need for high-end tourism in Mykonos.
